Dental Assisting Level II Upgrade

Course Overview

This certificate continuing education program is designed for level I dental assistants who wish to upgrade their skills to meet the requirements of a level II dental assistant. Upon completion of theprogram the graduate will be eligible to challenge the NDAEB exam and apply for level II certification with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association.

Students will circulate through a module program consisting of an Online Theory Component and on site Practical Component. The online theory component must be completed before the student enters the hands – on – practical component. Once students complete all modules, they will enter the Patient Care module where they will apply their skills on patients.

 

Duration

The program is designed for the working dental professional and can be completed in 17 weeks.

Online Theory (65 total hours: 4 total weeks)

Practical Component (72 total hours; 10 total weeks)

  • Two sessions of 4 hours (Saturdays- 8:45am-12:45pm)
  • Eight sessions of 8 hours (Saturdays – 8:45am-4:45pm)

 

Patient Care (24 hours: Total 3 weeks)

  • Three sessions of 8 hours ( Saturdays- 8:45am-4:45pm)

 

Total:

17 weeks 160 Hours

 

Cost:

$2,620 (with Ebooks) and $2,400 (without EBooks)
